Histos REM Advantages

Simplicity of Operation

  • Availability of pre-set program or user defined protocols for each reagent step
  • Use of conventional EM reagents and consumables

Flexibility

  • Process up to 48 specimens at the same time

User-Centric Software

  • All steps displayed on screen
  • Storage of user-defined programs
  • Documentation of every step for QA, ISO and GLP protocols.

High Standards of Safety

The design of the HISTOS REM system allows closed vessel processing from fixation through to 100% resin thus limiting to a minimum operator’s exposure to toxic reagents. To avoid handling of each individual specimen from one reagent to the other, all specimens are placed in processing cassettes stacked on a stem capable of holding up to 48 specimens. This allows a simultaneous transfer of all specimens from vial to vial.

Professional microwave labstation engineered for laboratory environment
Advanced technology eliminates the need for "dummy" loads, water loads, cold spots or external water cooler required by other microwave devices. Advanced software control eliminates the need for user-controlled microwave power or wattage settings.

Histos REM UnitFull microprocessor control of 800W emitted power.
Mode stirrer technology for optimal microwave field homogeneity.
All stainless steel construction (1) with ceramic bottom plate.
Cabinet coating resistant to organic solvents and acids.
Four fast release microswitches instantly interrupt microwave emission when door is opened (2, 3).
Built-in heavy duty exhaust fan (4) (55 m3/h - 32.4 cfm) for extraction of vapors to fume hood to fulfill CAP and CLSI guidelines
